STORY

Nikalas Marani, originally built in 1928, has been making wine for many decades with traditional Georgian methods.

In 2005 the cellar was restored and has increased production since, producing up to 15,000 bottles of wine annually over a 5-hectare territory. They have vineyards in other nearby villages and farm organically, with no irrigation.

Nikalas Wine is a member of the Natural Wine Association.

Nikalas Marani rests in the Kardenakhi Village in the Kakheti Region, a region famous for its fertile environment for wine making. Their vineyards sit on the Achaean Slopes, near the rich Alazani River Valley and the impressive Caucasus Mountains.
