STORY
Founded in 2012, the Nine Oak Estate produces premium wine products in Georgia. The company is passionate about producing wine with a deep respect for ancient winemaking tradition and the land, with family and friends in mind. Nine Oaks makes wine by the traditional Georgian wine-making method that involves fermenting the grape juice together with skins, stalks and pips.
Nine Oaks had the first vintage in 2013 and made first wine in 2014. The first commercial batch made from 2016 vintage was bottled in summer 2017: two varieties of “single origin” dry amber wines – Kisi (6,000 bottles in total) and Khikhvi (3,000 bottles); blend of Kisi and Rkatsiteli dry amber wine (1,000 bottles); dry red Tavkveri (800/2015 Vintage); dry black wine Saperavi (12,000 bottles), three-year old fortified wine Porti (1,200 bottles/2014 Vintage); and Chacha – Georgian pomace brandy.

Nine Oaks Estate is located in Georgia’s eastern Kakheti region famous for its winemaking history and its rich climate for harvesting local grape varietals. The winery sits in the foothills of the Caucasus Mountains overlooking the Alazani River Valley. Nine Oaks Estate is named after 9 oak trees on the estate where they grow four Georgian endemic varieties of vine - Saperavi, Rkatsiteli, Khikhvi, Kisi – over their 20 hectaresof well-ventilated land.
