STORY
Founded and renamed in 2012, Mukado Wines is a family owned and operated estate from the early 19th century. Lado Uzunashvili, the winemaker, traveled around the world to learn and perfect his winemaking capabilities. Upon his return to the Georgian estate, Lado created Mukado Winery to produce wines expressive of the Georgian terroir and family’s traditions.

Mukado Wines is located in the foothills of the Gombori mountains overlooking the fertile Alazani River Valley in Georgia’s eastern Kakheti region, which is famous for its winemaking history and its suitable climate for harvesting grapes. The winery looks on the Caucasus mountains to the north while Georgia’s capital and cultural center Tbilisi lies to the southwest.
