Founded in 2006, Badagoni Wines has enjoyed outstanding success with a range of site-specific local wines that are among the best in Georgia. Following the unique Georgian traditions of winemaking and at the same time using the most advanced technologies and scientific knowledge existing in the wine industry, Badagoni continues to grow annually, offering a wide range of wines and which are exported internationally.
The company’s wine-making is led by Dr. Donato Lanati, one of the top five enologists and a winner of the “Oscar del Vino” award. The Badagoni Family also prides itself on its partnership with Alaverdi Monastery, which was built in the 9thcentury and produces the “Alaverdi Tradition” line of wines. Recently, the company has collaborated with famous Italian companies Bertolaso and Enotec. Their production is currently at 6,000 bottles.

Badagoni Wines sits in the fertile Alazani River Valley famous for its wine production. The impressive Caucasus Mountains are northward, and this region’s unique climate produces rich soil for winemaking. Badagoni owns two wineries in the Kakheti region- one is situated in Akhmeta region, Village Zemo Khodasheni and the second one is in Sagarejo Municipality, Village Manavi. While constructing the wineries the Badagoni management team was actively cooperating with the worldwide famous experts to install the most modern facilities. The winery buildings, equipment and the laboratory fully meet the ISO standards.
